We are looking for a Head of Business and Product Development with deep sales experience with a strong sales track record. Job Description

This individual will develop and implement a sales plan which includes identifiable milestones and objectives related to establishing and expanding relationships with potential clients. Establishing this sales plan will entail attaining agreed-upon targets and maximizing the achievement of new business relationships and market penetration. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a business development plan, including identifying market opportunities and product creation/launches 
  • Manage pipeline, lead new business meetings and provide reporting to internal partners on a regular basis; 
  • Prospect, lead new business meetings, deliver presentations and close sales
  • Develop and manage relationships with manager research teams, and select investment consultants 
  • Effectively communicate the firm’s investment style, product and performance to prospective clients 
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of key competition and the competitive environment 
  • Ensure that product and sales materials are always updated and focused for the applicable presentation 
  • Work with team members to ensure quality and timeliness with respect to RFP an RFI responses 
  • Travel as necessary to meet with prospects. 


  • Extensive sales experience – reaching and exceeding sales targets
  • In depth knowledge of sophisticated marketing techniques
  • Previous experience of proven business development
  • Strong knowledge of the investment management industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Out-going, proactive and confident personality
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Self-starter and able to excel independently

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 or more years of sales or related experience
  • Advanced education is desirable
