Sonen Capital is a member of 2X Global, a global industry body focused on increasing the volume and impact pf capital directed towards women’s economic empowerment worldwide. Sonen is also a part of the 2X Global, Advancing Research and Investment Standards for Equality (ARISE) investor working group.

Sonen Capital is proud signatory to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). CDP is an independent not-for-profit organization working to drive greenhouse gas emissions reduction and sustainable water use by business and cities. They provide a transformative global system for thousands of companies and cities to measure, disclose, manage and share information. CDP holds the largest collection globally of self-reported climate change data.

Sonen Capital is an Advisors Bay member at Confluence Philanthropy. Confluence Philanthropy is a non-profit network of over 320 private, public and community foundations, which represent nearly $134 billion in philanthropic assets. They build capacity and provide technical assistance to enhance the ability of foundations to align the management of assets with organizational mission to promote environmental sustainability and social justice.

Members go to Mission Investors Exchange and each other for best practices, new investment opportunities, deal partnerships, and innovations in impact investing around the world.

Sonen Capital is a proud supporter of the Paris Agreement and is a signatory to several statements of support for continued U.S. participation in the global accord. The Paris Agreement is a legally binding international treaty on climate change adopted by almost all members of the United Nations. The agreement’s goal is to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees, preferably to 1.5 degrees Celsius, compared to pre-industrial levels. To achieve this long-term goal, signatory countries aim to achieve a climate neutral world by mid-century.

It provides a tool for benchmarking companies as they select safer alternatives and reduce their use of chemicals.

Its goal is to understand the implications of sustainability for investors and support signatories to incorporate these issues into their investment decision making and ownership practices. In implementing the Principles, signatories contribute to the development of a more sustainable global financial system.

At the G7 Hiroshima Summit in 2023, the leaders emphasized the important role of the private sector toward sustainable financing in global health, including through impact investments. The leaders endorsed the “Impact Investment Initiative for Global Health” (Triple I for GH), an initiative to raise awareness and share best practices on impact investment in global health. Triple I for GH was launched at the timing of the United Nations General Assembly High Level Meetings in September 2023. Partners of Triple I for GH can demonstrate globally their endeavors to improve access to health for people in low and middle income countries, to solve Global Health issues, and contribute to a more sustainable world while increasing their corporate value.
