Recently, we had the privilege of attending the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity Forum. It was an inspiring event that reinforced the power of capital markets to drive social and environmental change, a message Raul Pomares been driving for decades and as the Founding Partner of Sonen Capital. The discussion touched upon many important themes, but it was notable to hear that “food systems and food security is a priority for the Americas Partnership.”
The forum emphasized the importance of restoring faith in democracy by delivering tangible benefits for working people, highlighting the critical role of the private sector in addressing economic inequality, harnessing the economic potential of the Americas, and contributing to making our hemisphere the most competitive region in the world.
